Winter is here!

Winter is finally here we just had a snow rain ice mix over the weekend it was with the snow but the ice i could have done with out ecspically the sheep thought so they like snow but not the ice because they fall and slide all over the place. Today was the last day of school for the winter break which will be nice but this cold weather stinks workin in home and at work with the cows. but you go to do what you got to do.. Well i hope you all have a merry christmas!!

Sorry i haven't posted in a while alot has been going on with sheep shearing school, two jobs,moving again! etc...All the animals are doing good (fat and happy) like always!!!SHeep shearing school was awesome its just when i get a chance to buy shears i will be set. I met a few new freinds which was nice because not many people want to farm and when you meet some one that does it's like holly cow because you feel like your the only one! But besides with that living with Mrs. Hartung is nice because i'm not with my family and we get along alot better and better yet i'm with my animals 24/7....Well im out for now

A good morning

Well i walked up to my animals from my aunts when i woke up the smorning and i had coffee with Mrs. Hartung. She use to be really mean but she is not that bad anymore i geuss i straighnted her out when i yelled at her saying she was going to put her ewe to sleep because she was to rowdy meaning she was wild. But i don't have any that breed so i need her ewe to make me some baby's so the sheep is pretty much mine because i think i'm the only one that cares for her. Mrs.h got her at Durham Valley Feed and Seed. But i think i'm going to by a southdown/jacob mix only because i can't find a pure breed and so Cladia's parents don't send her to the slaughter house so that's how that goes. Well i have no work after school today so i'm going to work on putting up my fence at mrs. h well have a great day!

It's green!

It seems to be greener every single day like that the grass keeps growing and so does the tree's and what is so neat that the mountains is spreading like wild flowers of green tree's i love this time of you and the smell. Mrs. Hartungs new baby boer goat is doing good and let me tell you he has good lungs. and the baby bunnie's are growing well i'm to learn because i'm in school right now.Have a great day!

My first best friend

Well this post is about my dog Cheyenne who past away saturday afternoon. She was on of my first best friends i got her shortly when i moved in the house on Raubsville R.d by the corner store where Cheyenne grew up. I love her so much and it's hard to take in that she left me. She was there through my parents devorce, my grandfathers death and the list goes on and it's the hardest when your holden there head in the vets office and they give her a relaxiant and she just fell right to the table it killed me because she was still with it she was to to weak to move and then they gave her the last shot and it was horrible i can't even think about it. Well i have to get some rest here are the pictures when we pulled in the vet office one of the hardest thing of my life.

Crazy,crazy

Sorry i haven't kept ya'll posted i went home and found my bunnie made a nest and i lookied in it and she had a litter of seven baby's. I was so happy to see that and then i noticed she had a calico one! Had neat is it that there only two days old or so. And the bigger critters are doing good i've been trying to find a good pair a scissors to cut my goats mo-hair and i did there i tanium and they work great so i'm pleased with that. I saw my little buck jumping on her in november of 07 so she should be do anytime but i think that she might not be and i'm upset because i could use a goat kid to keep me out of trouble.lol j.k but i just dont think she is not only because i sheared alot of her and she dosen't seem so big and maybe she is but is very small but maybe there is that chance it's really small. Well i'm going to get some sleep tommrow will be a day of school, sheep, and work.

Shearing day!

Hello all-Today was interesting i had my sheep get sheered it's a little earlier but they needed it and it was the only appt. I could get. There happy up at mrs.hartungs But i like because there is a hayloft,running water, and eletric. But it's temp But i can say i like better than my grams because i don't have to log water and have eletric etc. The shearer told me that it isn't that hard to to teach yourself but i made a appt. for a class at delware valley colledge for may 6th and the 7th. And it only will cost me $40 bucks Well I know this isn't a long blog but i'm pooped.

The first move!

Well how are we dong on this fine sunday after noon. Well there is alot of things to tell about me and my critters. Well the easiest to get up the hill to mrs.hartungs would have been bucky because he followed me right up as for the rest i had to drag them up the hill and it was fun except my one sheep dolly she was so heavy i would say 250 pds.! She is a fat as for chesnut but back to her she had to be lift to get up the hill she had my for arms strong it felt good. THen the goats i carried the young female because she weighs about 70 pds so it wasn't that bad. But we saved the best for last which would be chesnut i had 5 people help me lift him up in my truck because he was stubbern so i just drove him up in the back of my truck but i brought my two troughs up and they were coantent But there content in there new home or temporary but we closed off the bigger pature so it can grow and i got orchard grass for it so there having a ball and my ram bucky was jumping on mrs.hartungs ewe which was surprising so we will see how that go's. Well i'm out for now school tommrow. YAY! NOT..haha

Alot to say.

Well i hve been going threw heck with my mom but at this point i want ever nothing to do with her! But on a better note i found a place for the love of my life's which would be my sheep and goaties. I'm going to be keeping them at Mrs.Hartungs but i'm taking care of them and her sheep and one goat she has because they might need it but thank god we extended her pature so they will fit til i find my place not sure when i'm going to take them so we will see how this will work out. But WOW so much is happening in so little time but i can say me and my Aunt are fine and were on a good slate but we will see how much good things are going to happen in the next couplke of months because i don't think i can handle anymore with my mom telling people i'm BIPOLAR and it makes me feel so small about my self but what am i going to do because i know i'm not and i was tested yesterday so i can just trough all her lies down the drain! But i'm going to but will be trying to post more with pictures.

NAthan's Acres

Well there is alot to put in this with out getting upset about i have two weeks to find a place to put my sheep and goats because my gram needed help paying taxes and she gave the land to my aunt and know i have no place so i called rodger to see if i could rent the back pasture where maggie had her flock so no one could see them because i'm so stressed i can't lose them because i probally die. BUt i have talk to rodger and i have to talk to one more guy so i hope this works out! But on further note working is making me so tired but i love working on the dairy goat farm beside's the buchering part. But i am going to get some rest 5 comes early when your milking and having to work at a grocery store for 8hrs.

Exhausted

Well I sure can say i'm exhausted! I have two jobs and my animals i love my new job because its very flexible for my animals because its a dairy goat farm! They have a hundred or so sheep and 200 goats and i get to take of them like there my own because they need it because there older people and need help but there paying me 8 an hour so i love it but there is something i hate very much about it! And that would be there is a wooden troff and it sits about 3 ft. ANd they had me gram and 6 month old fat ram lamb and i thought they need him to give him some pepto bismol because he had dyreha and the worst thing i saw was them fleeping it up in the truff and slit its thraut and i died i feel bad but i know you can't keep them all and well i don't want to know what happends to them and expesscially see what happens to them but i look at my animlas and there living the life compared to these guys. But i have to get up at 5 so i'm going to nap.

My family one day!

Well here is a good happy day witht the sheep and goaties. So much today I have to go to miss hartungs to get my water what a pain because i don't have a truck but when delilah past away i paryed to find extra cash to help with hay or the vet bill and i was walking from the store in raubsville to feed the sheep and i found $40 DOLLARS! How great is that And this picture was taken with the best people because there and understand what i'am about and how i love my CRITTERS! And one day me sarah and a couple of buddies paln to mve up to new york By maggie so i can help her and be her farm manger! I can't wait to get done wityh my education so that can happen asap! Time to say good bye

Two nights ago my sheep went into labor and i pulled the baby ou because it got stock in her birth canal and it didn't make it it was weak and i lost it. The worst happend at two in the morning i delilah didnt give out any after birth and the vet told me she was done but i didn't think she was so i could the emergency vet and last night delilah wouldn't get up so the vet came out so got the hot water ready and he went inside her womb to make sure there were no more and low and be hold there was another one! And i wish i was as expirenced as he is and well that baby was preached so it went back into the womb and it died in her the poor thing then it poisned delilah and the vet had to put her down. I can't believe this happend!!! it kelled me to have to do it but she was suffing but he said the age of her probally had alot to do with it. I know that you shouldn't have favorites which i love them all but delilah followed me everywere and now i'm sure going to miss that. Well im going to go check up on everyone. im out for now.

Another snow day.

Hey yall sorry i have not posted been working alot and spending time with the critters. Everyday i'm hopping that delilaH HAS HER BABY but she hasn't had it but she is getting a bag but its not hudge yet. So i don't know hopefully to. she will have it because that's my birthday and it would cheer me up. But everyone else is good and fat and happy sorry for the short blog post later.

Ice

Today is very bad i'm sick and there's ice and water everywhere and i'm so tired! But the day goes on i have benn staying at work overtime and can't take anymore of it because this head cold i have and the bacteria in my throat makes me weak. The sheep love it because not everyday we get snow and they just layed out in the snow. But i love the snow but not when its so cold and wet because its melting and were going to have a big flood they say if it don't stop raining. The sheep are getting fatter and fatter everyday. The hay supply is good the grain supply is good and the water supply is good. But a bunny is due to have her baby's anyday but i'm nervous because its down right cold! But i'm out for now.

I just love the snow i wish we would have off for tommarow because i'm so sick of there crap.HAha I really just want to spend time with the critters because i got two new jobs to help me out with money and one is on a sheep farm in Jersey which i'm thrilled about because i love sheep i would rathere work with them then at a grocery store. But unfortinatly i'm still at giant and will be there for awhile i geuss because i love the people i work with. I love my FLOCK!

Today is like england weather with all the rain and i kinda don't like it because there hay is outside but if it was in the barn they would just lay on it but it hasn't been raining for the past couple of hours. But i have a pregant bunnie who is do any day So i maid her the best birthing box but there going to be ready for easter for anyone who wants a new member to there family. But back to my flock I got some great pictures of them ecspecially of my goatie baby's wellt here not so much babies anymore but tell what you think. And down in front of my friends down the road there was a dead pheasant in front of her house i think thats weird but it is so pretty and i love pheasants there so cool creatures. and i haven't seen the fox around so thank god! But i'm still going with your advice maggie on getting shots for them thank you so much Maggie. Thank god for her sshe has helped me alot and i'm so glad she started me in sheep. Hello all

It's just another day with the critters i was with the for four hours then went to work. It felt like forever and i was on cart dutty tonight and it wasn't fun because there would be clouds of rain that passed through and the neat thing is were having heat lighting in febuary! It was in the high 50's and i hate that because all the animals were in mud i hate mud because it is like quick sand by there water buckets. I also am having a fox problem that needs to be killed because i think he has rabbies and i'm very nervous having him around because it came at me at 1 in the afternoon and i think he got my last rhode island red and i love her and her brown eggs she laid for me everymorning! But i'm going to order some more chickens for spring and thats real close i just love this!!! Well I'm going to get some rest.

Hey-yall Sorry i have been poting but i have been covering alot at work and when im not at work im with the loves of my life my critters! Well for the past few days my sheep and goats been doing great! And yesterdaymy step sister Brianna came with me and my little scotish puppies to feed and be with my sheep before the hole party that was going on at the house but i hate leaving them i wish i got payed to be with them day round! Bonnie and Klide loved it they were running all over the place but cody and sweetheart didn't like them so much well i must say none of them did because there little and love to play but they were so tired when we came home because they ran alday and slept when we went inside and they laid right down and were passed out which i was glad they ran in the feild and actually everywhere! I was happy to knwo those two where having a great time! It seems everyday that the pregant ladies are getting bigger and bigger. but yet maggie is going through alot with not sleeping im so proud and happy for you!!!! Well going to crash a little early tonite well out for now.

Turns to be a beautiful day outside!

Hey-yall when i got out of school i went to the feed mill to get grain and rabbit food and picked up some cat litter for my lil kitty sweatheart. It was interesting when i got to the sheep i heard break noise like off trees and i looked and it was deer it was amazing there gorgeous animals. Except i will never forget the one winter day when i kept hay in the side room and i went in there and a deer jumped up right in my face and was kicking everything scared the crap out of me. But when i look at how i ran out of there like a girl i laugh my but off! I think i am going to seperate delilah from the others because they are all mean to her and she dosen't get alot of food and i take her out because the mama goatie and her do not get along so i take her out give her grain and hay and then bring her back in and she is happy but i'm alil nervous when she lambs because i don't want nothing bad to happen like lat year and i think my ram bucky had something to do with daisy-may's death but there going to have to be seperated. well going to go check on my critters well bye for now.

Yuckie day out

Today will stink just like yesterday because it is rainy and in the pasture it is all mud! I hate mud but what can i say.My new west highland terrior puppys are doing great! Bonie and Clide what cool dogs but they like to bark but if my mom thinks she is going to get rid of them i will get rid of her. All the sheep are doing great and my goaties but i still can't belive the mama goatie fights bucky how random is that if you can tell me because i always know of ram and ram or ewew and ewe but never the opposite sex.well i have to go learn and take of my animals and tonight i will be going to work at 5:30 so i wont be around..

Finally got my scotish farm dogs

Hey everyone sorry i haven't posted it's been a busy couple of days.All the critters are doing great and i got these two new puppies well my mom did they were left in Bethelm and there was four but the person that found them kept two and well the dog we got last week didn't work for my mom and her boyfriend. It was a bummer but i now know that the puppy's aren't still in someone's backyard because the owner that had the mom left them in his backyard and moved and took the mom only which is a shame.I call them bonnie and Clide. Also i brought my friends Mike and Billy and mike has never really been around a sheep so he thought they were nice animals like dogs but he was wrong about bucky and he got "bucked" and he was scared and opened the gate and ran to my truck and and jumped on my roof it was hillarious! Bucky is like my guard dog though he makes me mad about how he is with the others he hits them or knocks them down and i get very angery with that exspecially for the up comming moms. But i most say the mama goat stands her ground and shows bucky and rams her with her nice set of horns. Which i am glad bucky is like that because i know something is guarding my flock when i'm not around because i never want anything to happen to them they are my pride and joy! Well im out for know.

Work

Today i have to go to work and make some money for the critters and truck because you all know how expensive gas is! It stinks because i don't get out until 5 and it'll be dark after i get to see my critters and i know sweetheart is going to miss me because she sets in the truck all day and loves to go to tractor supply with me and i must say she is the only cat that likes to go for rides that i know of anyways. Feeding and a SICK KITTY!!!

Today i was out with the sheep for two hours in the day light and i herad this crying so then i found this sick cat in the hay so i warm up some lamb milk replacer because it's medicated and he loved IT!! I also gave him a can of wet food and dry but i think he is going to be fine i think he has a cold and was in a fight with another cat but i have him lovcked up in a safe warm place so he can get better and the sheep are doing great. It seems like delilah is getting bigger and bigger by the day but i can't wait for some baby's on the farm but i hope it is warm when they are born but they control that and i have a pregant cat i think but time will tell i wish she wasn't though but don't haver to much money to take her to the vet yet. Cold but i have work to do

Well today i'm going to go buy some hay then clean and burn some grain bags because i don't hve a weekly garabage at my grams anymore so i will live. Hey yall! Well today it is very cold and its going to be 9F well for us thats cold but maggie i'm sure this is nothing to you.lol. I but straw in the dog houses for the kitties and well the have the barn in the hay which i find cody in there alot and the camper is open for them so they have a place and the sheep and goats i put hay in the barn and outside but there all outside but i have to go down there to feed them there nightly grain they love that because it's like candy to them and i love knowing that there full at the end but there loving the cold because there getting hot water because the pipes are frozen to the hose and there buckets are like cement! But thats how winter is well lets all hope that no baby's in any of my critters have baby's! Well thats it for now.

Another day

well my cat sweeheart is very bad she likes to go up to my neighbors and pester them but she only likes to do that because they put food out and it makes me mad when they keep calling me and i know there putting food out because she comes down to my house and then goes up there for seconds. But the sheep are having a ball i gave them som evergreen branches along with a bale of hay and a couple of ears of corn! They were so happy! I love when there happy because they have helped me out so much in the past two years that no one would understand unless they had my lofe or sheep. Also the chickens were happy because they ate some corn from when it would fall out of the sheep and the goaties mouths. But i can't wait for lambing and kidding because i will be one of the most happy and proudist parents ever! Ahhh earliy get the worm!

Ahh again i'am sore and i think it is fromm cheasing sheep and when my cousins dog came up and chased my one young goat in the woods so it was crazy! Istill have to do the boys probally today after med-terms. Gettting ready for lambing and kidding

Hey-Yall all today was ecitting but what can i say when midterms were done i went right to the sheep billy,keith and were trim hooves and chopping females wool and mo-hair to get them ready but i have to say i need new scissors! But my hoof trimmers are great i just got them at the tractor supply because my other pair was old an dull. But keith i should say was the one to help me because billy would not touch them but he is the same when we worked for maggie he says he done it enough before haha.today i also gave the sheep some ever green branches they love thaa they watched me pick it up and till i put it in there pasture. COLD

It's very cold the cats are all nice and covered up in the hay but the sheep just love the cold there out sitting under the stars. But were expecting snow so i can't wait i love the snow as of the sheep! I think cody my new cat i got from mr. pabst went after the little chicken but she got away but cody loves to watch them chickens peck at the ground! But what is there to say tonight water bottles on the bunny cages but that's why they invented hot water! But neighbor is calling about the girl kitty is up at her house but i tell her not feed her and she be up there but go to go. Bye-now

Feeding in the Dark

Well tonight i went down to feed the sheep and it was dark, wet, and muddy. It stinks when it is like that. But they wanted there grain hay and water but i tell you come this spring im going to make a portable pasture and have them out of there pature for now (when spring comes). I only say that because i got to let them let the ground settle and also let them get some growth in there but were going to have to wait for spring. But winters projeject will be to fix the leaking in the hay loft in the barn so i can keep nice hay up there so the critters don't run all over in the barn like the goaties because they love to do that but it stinks because it is just like burnig money. but as long as there happy i geuss i will be. But everytime they get out they run right to the evergreen pile they love that so i throw some in there and they go wild! Well im out for now.-Bye-now

Another new cat on the farm

Hello well today was a great day me and my sis Bria went on the mountain sides and were seeing alot of neat scenes.And went a little off roading on some farmers feilds with the white beast and then we ended up in alpha and i was suppose to meet Mr. Pabst at the high school and instead i mean him at walmart in p-burg and got his cat but the kitty needed a place to run thats why he asked if i could get him. But he's happy and so am i and his name is coddy and he will have all the nice and rats to eat! And a post on delialah she is getting hudger by the day so i'm thinking next month or maybe two which i would prefer so i don't get chilled lambs! Well lets not for get the goaties i think she is pregant and well i need to cut some of her mo hair to get her ready well were expecting snow so im going to go to bed. Bye-now
